Supported by Comunn na Gàidhlig
During The Highland Year of Culture, the sea scouts took up the challenge of learning to use Gaelic for parts of our scouting. In December 2007, we became the world’s only Scots Gaelic speaking Scout Group. We use Gaelic for all our orders and ceremonial activity. We couldn’t have done this without the support of Comunn na Gàidhlig who provided a grant of money and a tutor. We showcased our new skills at our Royal Naval inspection in December 2007; and featured on BBC Radio nan Gàidheal.
